The Briar House Guardian Collective

An Invitation to Join Our Inner Circle

For families within one hour of Roanoke, Briar House offers a rare opportunity: to become a Guardian Home for one of our exceptional breeding dogs. This is not simply a placement — it is a partnership, a shared commitment to preserving excellence, and an invitation into the most intimate part of our program.

What It Means to Be a Guardian

A Guardian dog lives with you as a beloved companion, enjoying the comfort and stability of a permanent home. We retain breeding rights for a limited number of litters, after which the dog is spayed/neutered and full ownership transfers to you.

Why Guardians Matter

Our dogs thrive in homes, not kennels. Guardians allow us to maintain a small, ethical, boutique program while ensuring every dog receives the individual love and attention they deserve.

Your Benefits

• Dog placed at little or no cost

• Exclusive rebates and perks

• Priority access to future litters

• Direct mentorship and support

• A long‑term relationship with Briar House

Your Role

• Provide daily care, love, and enrichment

• Maintain health, grooming, and training

• Collaborate with us during breeding periods

• Uphold the standards of the Briar House name

Ideal Guardian Families

We prioritize homes interested in showing, dog sports, therapy or service work, or earning titles — families who appreciate excellence and enjoy being part of something meaningful.
