Health & Wellness

Every Briar House dog begins life with the highest level of care and genetic assurance.

Genetic & OFA Testing

Our breeding dogs undergo full DNA panels and extensive OFA evaluations, including eyes, knees, and other breed‑specific areas. All results are recorded in the public database, with CHIC numbers and documentation available upon request.

Veterinary Foundation

Puppies receive a complete veterinary exam, DHPP vaccinations, and scheduled deworming — a health foundation designed to support lifelong vitality.

Each puppy leaves with a curated selection of essentials:

Payment & Financing

We offer refined, flexible payment options through Good Dog, including credit card, digital check, and Klarna financing.

Additional payment methods — check, cash, PayPal, Zelle, Cash App — are available for families connecting outside of Good Dog.

Visitation & Private Transport

Home Visits

Visits to Briar House are available once an application is completed and payment is made. To protect our young puppies, guests agree to a liability waiver, cleanliness protocol, ID verification, and background check.

Concierge Transport

Private transport is available:

• Ground: $2 per mile (one way from 24175)

• Flight: $600 plus round‑trip airfare

Dalmatian puppies typically travel by ground due to size and airline restrictions. Families may also arrange their own professional transport.

Lifetime Return Assurance

Our commitment is lifelong. If you are ever unable to care for your Briar House dog, we will welcome them back — always. Please never surrender one of our dogs to a shelter.

Reservation & Waitlist

A $500 reservation deposit secures your place. If we cannot provide a puppy in your chosen breed and sex within six months, your deposit is fully refunded.

Guardian Home Program

Within 1 hour of Roanoke, Virginia

Our Guardian Home Program offers select families the opportunity to partner with us in raising one of our breeding dogs. Guardian dogs live as cherished pets while fulfilling a limited number of breeding responsibilities. Families receive the dog at little or no cost, along with exclusive perks and long‑term partnership benefits. Full ownership transfers once breeding obligations are complete.

Barter Opportunities

Certified or professional services may be considered in exchange for a puppy. Priority is given to homes interested in showing, dog sports, therapy or service work, or earning titles.

Spay/Neuter & Registration Rights

We follow modern, research‑based timing:

• Small breeds: 6–8 months

• Larger breeds: 18 months

• Dalmatians (males): 18 months due to uric acid considerations

Full Registration (Shih Tzu Only)

Reserved for individuals committed to responsible, health‑tested, breed‑improving programs. Limited registration may be upgraded once commitment is demonstrated.
