Keep in mind that most breeders won't allow any outsiders on the property. Is it for disease control, fear of people suing and special insurance needs, or not allowing you to post on social media, or is it because it's really a puppy mill situation... who can say. I have heard stories of theft by pretend buyers, maybe I should heed their warning but as to prove I am not a "mill" I will allow it. No outside animals without explicit permission as nose touching or even a pup sniffing the pee spot can transmit disease like brucellosis that is fatal to newborns and affects the whole program. I don't put my address on the webpage because I don't allow people to just show up, you will be scheduled for a midday appointment around 3 - 6 pm so I have time to bathe the pup and tidy up my house. No video or photography permitted without explicit consent for each photo. Appointments are reserved for buyers that have at a minimum placed a deposit.
Money is due for the pup before pick up if doing online payment or if the pup is being delivered so the transaction can go through on the platform. We can discuss special circumstances.
There are 2 ways to pay. I have a purchase option on this website if you want to pay by credit card. Cash will be checked for counterfeit and I will only accept regular checks If I know you, a cashier's check is acceptable. If we met on Good Dog then I must take payment on their platform, Klarna credit is available through them as well as payment by check or credit card.
If through the GoodDog platform remember you are protected in this transaction and will be reimbursed by them if I don't deliver, they protect me too in case the buyer is the bad actor. I am not allowed to take in hand any moneys not done through the app. You can do an electronic check or credit card or klarna Credit for full payment, I don't think cash works because they want their percentage electronically. We can only do cash (I will check for counterfeit) if you find me outside the gooddog platform of which I have a special code to give you so they won't take the 6% fee. I don't mind paying a good middleman a fair price, they do provide value.
If by Dogg!t then I am still learning that platform, I do know that you pay them a matchmaker fee separate from my fees.
By Car:
Transportation can be arranged to deliver your new puppy after payment is complete to a location chosen by me with cameras for safety and proof of delivery. Cost is determined by distance. I will be sending one of my sons. An example cost is $300 for about 100 miles away from Roanoke Virginia, this will get you to Greensboro NC or Winston-salem NC, etc.
By Plane or train:
I am also willing to fly your puppy to you and meet at the airport for a fee of the cost of the roundtrip ticket from ROA airport in Roanoke Virginia doubled. It may not cost as much but this is a good, generalized rule. It depends on if I need a hotel if you are really far away. For example, If the ticket is $600 roundtrip with taxes and extra fees for animal transport to your airport the total will be $1200 due at the time of puppy purchase in addition to the deposit + purchase price of the puppy. This covers my hotel as redeye flights don't seem to be a thing anymore, food, time, etc. You wouldn't sleep in the airport and neither will I. I will not drive extra hours to save airfare, I fly in and out of ROA. Lower 48 USA only as outside of those areas will have quarantine restrictions. There are services that you can employ for potentially cheaper prices because they fly standby and sleep in the airport chairs, and often have multiple animals at one time, more power to 'em, you are welcome to hire one of them but your refund situation may be complicated due to turning over control to a third party and their insurance should cover injury or death because it will be their fault. Brachycephalics can't fly cargo, you may see cheaper cargo services but this is not an option for shih tzu. The dalmatians will get too big quick so as close to 8wks old is ideal and I will need around 3 weeks time to get a good ticket price so you will have to have purchased the pup at around 4-6 weeks of age. I suppose the dalmatians can fly cargo if they are older but only in fair weather temperatures. We can do this on this website or if you are a good dog customer this travel transaction must be done separate from the puppy sale transaction due to my 6% fee through Good Dog for sales of pups if you didn't use my special link code initially if you found me other than through the gooddog search engine. By Amtrak we can meet in Alexandria Virginia (ALX) at the Union Station a half hour drive from Washington DC or (WAS) Union Station in DC proper, I will let the transporter decide what city he wants to hang out in for a few hours before turn around. These must be scheduled 3 weeks out or more for discount fare. The estimated cost for the train delivery is $300 in total but can change according to distance and if hotels are needed...ALX or WAS is close enough that I / they can come home the same day. I will be sending one of my sons.
